Studies

Before pairing each of our exemplars, we make sure that they pass certain health requirements, in order to guarantee the quality of the puppies to be born.

We perform elbows and hips radiographs on both parents in an official entity endorsed by the POA, in order to assure the efficacy and quality of the mentioned study. In addition, we carry out copro parasitological studies, meticulously analyze their bloodlines, their traits and behavior, and perform eye and kneecap checks.

Every responsible and serious breeder must comply with all these questions, because otherwise it can lead to hereditary diseases such as dysplasia, which is quite common in this breed.

Vaccines

It is very important that parents always have their vaccines up to date. Not just before a pairing, but at all times.

Our complete vaccination plan is: Puppy DP, Fivefold with coronavirus, Fivefold, Sixfold with leptospirosis, Sixfold and lastly, vaccination against rabies. Our vaccines are from the Pfizer brand (imported).

Our puppies receive their first vaccine (Puppy DP) at 30 days of age, and the second (Quintuple with coronavirus) at 51 days of age. Between each vaccination there must be a period of 21 days. Once a year, we give all our dogs the Sextuple + Rabies vaccines.

Deworming

Hygiene is essential when it comes to raising our Akitas and Shibas and keeping them healthy. We take this seriously, and that is why we take the necessary measures since day one.

Every time we bring a new exemplar from abroad (see all our exemplars), it must be quarantined for a few days, to avoid any possibility of contagion. Both parents are dewormed before pairing. In addition, 10 days before having her offspring, the female is dewormed again with medication suitable for pregnant dogs.

For their part, the puppies are dewormed for the first time at 20 days of age, using Toltrazol Plus for 3 days. After 15 days we repeat this procedure again, and then they are given a single dose of Levamisole. At 51 days of life we deworm them again with a medication called Aprax.

We should also mention that we prepare a completely sanitized room for the moment the puppies are born.

Feeding

Food is another issue of enormous relevance when it comes to taking care of the health of our exemplars.

In the first place, all our pregnant females receive balanced adult feed reduced in calcium, in order to avoid dystocia (excess calcium). Once the puppies are born, the mother is provided with food rich in calcium, since she can lose it when breastfeeding her babies.

When they are one month old, the puppies are given vitamin D, since they can only be in the sun after 51 days of life. At 20 days of life, puppies begin to eat pap (in addition to mother’s milk). The pap is made up of hydrated balanced food (Pro Plan Puppy), a mix of vegetables and chicken, and ricotta (all processed).

For their part, the mothers receive this mix after having a baby, as well as Royal Canin Starter puppy food. Finally, in our freezer we always have a breast milk bank in case any of our puppies need reinforcements at birth.

Certificates

All our exemplars are registered in the Argentine Cynological Federation (FCA) and in the International Cynological Federation (FCI).

The papers to register the puppies consist of 3 instances: Breeding complaint (date and data of both parents), Birth complaint (number of males and females born, date and data of both parents) and Litter complaint (names and colors of the puppies).

Once this data is registered, we obtain a certificate called “transfer” where the information of the puppies and both parents appears. With this document, the new owners can request the pedigree and put the puppy under their names. If the owner is not from Argentina, we carry out this procedure ourselves, and we also place the microchip on the puppy.

Certificado de SENASA

We comply with all the necessary requirements of SENASA and the country in question, for the cases in which we must export our copies. We do not deliver any puppy without its respective pedigree.
